Jojoba oil is so similar to the oil your skin naturally makes that you can trick oily skin into making less by applying pure jojoba! When jojoba oil is there your skin senses it has already made enough oil so it slows its own oil production. Fascinating!
Note: Jojoba oil is actually NOT an oil at all, but is a liquid wax. It helps to seal moisture into skin by preventing water loss. This is especially important in Winter when the air is cold and therefore dry. Skin draws moisture from the air to hydrate itself, but then the air is dry and cold the moisture isn't there! This is why skin seems more dry in Winter.
